Sarjik Announces Renewed Development of Murflicks, Its Upcoming Movie Streaming Platform

Texas, UNITED STATES — October 2026 — Sarjik is pleased to announce the resumption of development on Murflicks, its upcoming subscription-based movie streaming service designed to bring original storytelling, emerging filmmaking talent, and diverse cinematic experiences to audiences.

The renewed development is an important phase for the company as it revisits a project first initiated in 2023. Although the initial development effort achieved more than 75% of its overall project target, the service did not progress to launch at that time. Following further work to address the outstanding gaps, Sarjik is now moving forward with a renewed development effort aimed at bringing the Murflicks vision to life.

Murflicks is being developed as a destination for a broad range of film content, combining emerging forms of digital filmmaking with original productions and licensed movies from across Africa and beyond.

The planned content offering will include:

• AI-generated short films: A platform for showcasing short-form cinematic stories created with artificial intelligence.
• Murflicks Originals: Original film productions developed for the platform, contributing to a distinctive catalogue of exclusive content.
• African films: Licensed movies from independent filmmakers and established production talent, with a particular focus on Nigeria, South Africa, and Kenya.
• International movies: A selection of films from international markets to offer subscribers a wider range of stories, genres, and cultural perspectives.

Through this approach, Murflicks aims to support the visibility of African filmmaking while creating opportunities for innovative storytelling and connecting audiences with films from different parts of the world.

An important part of Murflicks' development strategy is the establishment of accessible channels through which filmmakers and content creators can submit their work for consideration.

The platform is planned to introduce two principal film submission channels:

1. Submission through approved agents

Filmmakers and content owners will be able to submit eligible movies through agents approved to represent or facilitate submissions to Murflicks. This channel is intended to provide an additional route for creators seeking to have their work considered for the platform.

2. Digital film submissions

Murflicks will also provide a digital submission channel through which filmmakers and content creators can submit their movies for evaluation. Submitted titles will undergo a review process to determine their suitability for potential approval and licensing.

Both channels are intended to support the evaluation of film projects for possible inclusion in the Murflicks catalogue. Submission will not automatically guarantee approval, licensing, or distribution, as each title will be subject to the platform's applicable review and licensing requirements.

Further information regarding submission procedures, eligibility criteria, licensing terms, and the operation of the approved-agent network will be announced as development progresses.

Murflicks is being developed as a monthly subscription video-on-demand service, giving subscribers access to its available catalogue of films through a dedicated streaming experience.

The company's vision is to create a platform where AI-driven filmmaking, original content, African cinema, and international productions can coexist within a single entertainment destination.

The return to Murflicks development shows Sarjik's continued commitment to advancing its digital entertainment ambitions. The renewed effort builds on the work undertaken during the project's initial development phase while addressing the gaps that previously prevented it from progressing to completion.

Additional details will be released as the project progresses.
